Enriching education thru exposure to the arts

Line dancing is a popular pastime on Long Island and a very social activity that is inclusive of all ages.  It is a wonderful way to exercise the body and mind and enhance memory. The Beginner Line Dancing Workshop is a 45 minute workshop teaching age appropriate line dancing to students. Deanna will create developmentally appropriate assemblies or classes to teach your K-12 students some fun and active line dances. Students will learn some basic line dancing steps and a few choreographed line dances.  Elementary students will work together to choreograph their own dance by choosing among different basic steps with Deanna as a guide with each workshop resulting in a unique dance.  Dances can be accompanied by any type of music if a theme other than country is preferred.  Deanna Nemes has over 8 years’ experience teaching dance with a focus on line dancing for the last 6 years.
